On July 2, a benefit concert by the famous pianist and composer, Evgeny Khmara, was held at the Menorah Center in Dnipro. The concert was attended by over 150 families with children who are under the care of the St. John’s Center and the “Pomoshayem” Fund, as well as children from family type orphanages.
Evgeny and his Black Tie Quartet immersed the audience in a unique atmosphere of music and beauty. Lightness and relaxed virtuoso pianist, with which he played songs from Argentine-Ukrainian tango, French gentle tunes to rock, struck the audience. And the musician’s light energy poured into the audience, leaving not a single heart indifferent. The audience was incredibly impressed with the pianist’s connection to the audience: the children answered interesting questions, closed their eyes and immersed themselves in the fabulous world of music. Alexander Koliadenko’s performance on the instrument of the new millennium, which has an unusual name Hang, was a surprise for everyone. The audience waited for him with their eyes closed, like a magical flying saucer. And then they listened to this cosmic music with bated breath.
