On the eve of Christmas, 12 children undergoing rehabilitation at our St. John’s Center attended a wonderful master class organized by VARUS. The children, together with their parents, became real confectioners for painting chocolate-gingerbread cookies for two hours. They learned to work with fragrant dough, which was transformed into cute bunnies, eggs, stars, gloves and hearts with the help of molds. The children enthusiastically watched the process of baking in ovens, and then made beautiful patterns on sweet products.
And what a fragrant aroma stood during the whole event, can not be described in a single word.
Tired, all in flour and icing, but with happy eyes and smiles, the children drank tea with their wonderful delicacies. And in addition to fragrant chocolate-gingerbread, the children received sweet gifts and their eyes shone even brighter.
The children are satisfied and happy. Parents are grateful for the opportunity to communicate and immerse themselves in a creative, festive atmosphere. Varus’s staff is moved, as this is the first time they have experienced communication with such children. We are inspired to take important steps in the socialization and career guidance of children with disabilities in our country.
We would like to thank the incredible employees of VARUS for organizing and conducting the master class at a high, professional level. We thank the Culinary Studio “Biskvit Room” for the wonderful space and hospitality.
We wish you all good faith and warmth, friends!
