Taking measurements of orthoses

Orthotics is a conservative method of treatment and prevention of pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, which consists in preserving or restoring the shape and function of the affected segment with the help of special technical devices – orthoses.

Orthoses are used to stabilize, immobilize and support the body or affected limbs, their normal functioning.

The purpose of orthosis is:

  • fixation, stabilization and unloading of the spine and joints;
  • restoration of the musculoskeletal system and soft tissues after injuries;
  • correction of damages and deformations;
  • protection of joints and spine during sports and activities with increased physical load;
  • pain relief.

Orthotics is an effective method of treatment and prevention of pathologies of the musculoskeletal system for children and adults.

Specialists of the John’s Center professionally examine the patient and take the necessary measurements for the manufacture of orthoses, taking into account individual characteristics. This is very important because an orthosis is an individual product that is developed strictly on the basis of a current medical prescription, and only by taking into account all the recommendations of a specialist, it is possible to develop the highest quality orthopedic device for a patient of any age.
