Medical rehabilitation for children

Medical rehabilitation for children is a set of measures aimed at restoring the child’s physical, mental and social functions, which have been impaired due to disease, trauma, etc. Rehabilitation may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology, and other methods.

The goal of medical rehabilitation is to help the child achieve the highest possible level of functional activity and self-help. Rehabilitation helps the child to return to a normal life, learn and communicate with peers.

Medical rehabilitation can be carried out in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In stationary conditions, rehabilitation is carried out under the supervision of doctors and other specialists. Outpatient rehabilitation is carried out at home or in specialized centers.

Medical rehabilitation for children can be indicated in the following cases:

  • after suffering a disease or injury;
  • with chronic diseases;
  • with congenital defects;
  • with developmental disorders.

Medical rehabilitation is an important stage in the restoration of health and full development of the child.
